Where a girl loves a boy and a boy loves a girl...

Listening to Madonna's La Isla Bonita, pretending that I am on a tropical island instead of in a muggy city. Damn, it's hot 'round here! I've had the air conditioning on for two solid days. That is seriously effed up. *grump*

Nooooo one will play LotR Trivial Pursuit with meeeeeeeeeee.

Gawd, I love older Madonna songs. They are my guilty pleasure. <3

And, in my new-found love of lists, here is my "to read" list of books purchased/given/borrowed in 2004:

- Will in the World: How Shakespeare Became Shakespeare by Stephen Greenblatt
- Planet Simpson: How A Cartoon Masterpiece Defined a Generation by Chris Turner
- Sink Reflections by Marla Cilley
- Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation by Lynne Truss
- Persuasion by Jane Austen
- Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden
- Women Who Think Too Much: How to Break Free of Overthinking and Reclaim Your Life by Susan Nolen-Hoeksema (AHAHAHAHAHA!)
- Love, Poverty, and War: Journeys and Essays by Christopher Hitchens
- America (The Book): A Citizen's Guide to Democracy Inaction by Jon Stewart and writers of the Daily Show
- Sin Killer: The Berrybender Narrative, Book 1 by Larry McMurtry
- The Wandering Hill: The Berrybender Narratives, Book 2 by Larry McMurtry
- By Sorrow's River: The Berrybender Narratives, Book 3 by Larry McMurtry

Nighty, night kiddies!

I've had the air conditioning on for two solid days.

Come visit us! It is currently 32 degrees (but feels like 26, I have no idea how they come up with the "feel like" index), and tonight's low in the mid 20's. XP

Ooo...read Memoirs first. Then you can join us all in complaining when the movie is released. ;)

Although with this cast, they really can't go wrong.

It's an awesome novel. You'll love it.

John Stuart's book is all kinds of hilarious. I attempted to paw it out of my mother's iron grasp, but alas she carted it back to Tokyo before I could finish >.<

Have you ever read The Tale of Genji? Talk about your poetry mixed with style, romance, wit, intrigue, etc ^^ If you like Memoirs of a Geisha, Lisa Darby (the only foreign geisha blah blah blah ^_~) wrote a great book in a similar style about Murasaki Shikibu's life.

Oh and I'd play the LoTR Trivial Pursuit with you, but you would kick my ass all over the place ^_^
