That's right...just as I'm getting used to one thing, change it a little to throw me off! The ol' bait and switch...

Still happy and am beginning to think I am so emo the rest of the year because I save all the woo!whee! for December. Huh. But it's nice. Right now, I'm not hyper-happy, but quietly content. Yes, precious.
The cats are really loving the Christmas tree this year. They love chewing on the lights and climbing it and ripping the skirt off so they can get to the sugar water. This will be the messiest Christmas ever! >___<
I have been listening to lots of Escaflowne and Mononoke soundtracks and I think it is enhancing my feeling of peace. Wonderful memories of rediscovering anime. Thinking about how, when I realized they would be debuting the Esca movie at AX, I resolved to get there by hook or by crook. And once there, being so broke, I subsisted on cup of noodles and granola bars. LOL... Worth it, though.
I am totally rambling, revealing my age.
I really need to wash my sheets (since I'm being random). Towels, too.
I know there will be other events (JP is trying to organize Game Night with a couple we know and we are supposed to get together with San for dinner some night). Cripes, no wonder I barely go out the rest of the year...

12/16 - downtown with the gang (we are going to try Swig and see how much it has changed since I was last there...um, 6 or 7 years ago)
12/17 - dinner with the fam (as usual, everyone else has already decided where we were going to eat, but whatevs...I am not bitter, but happy for the love showered upon me)
12/23 - something with Nay-nay, not sure what yet
12/24 - Christmas with the relatives at mom and dad's
12/25 - Christmas with the familia (not sure what the plan is here, either)
12/31 - depending on the size of the guilt trip, I may stick to my guns and try to ring in the new year here at home
