Headache, BEGONE!
The Dreaded Ex used to get headaches ALL THE TIME and I used to get so annoyed with him because nothing seemed to help him. Well, for the past three weeks, I have had a headache every day and am now heartily sorry I ever made fun of him.
Ouch.
In other news, JP and I were talking about childhood books and I was waxing poetic about these ancient sets I owned that were hand-me-downs from my older sister's friend's mother: the Donna Parker and Trixie Beldon series. I believe there were also a couple of Bobbsey Twins books.
My favorite, by far, were the Donna Parker books. I read those (already) raggety books until the page edges crumbled and fell out of the spine. So you can imagine my delight when I not only found several on eBay, but also found a website devoted to her! Yay for 1950's heroines and their poodle skirts and black-and-white milkshakes! I know the stories are horribly old-fashioned, but they give me the warm fuzzies. ^_______^
Sometimes I wonder where my ethnicity went. LOL...
Dude, have I been posting a lot lately or what?!

I loved Trixie Beldon! I went through a Nancy Drew/Trixie Beldon period when I was a kid. Girls are doing it for themselves, yeehaw!

Hee! I read a bunch of Nancy Drew, too! You have to love teenage girl detectives. I wish I was a teenage girl detective. LOL!
Just the person I wanted to talk to! Have you seen 'Garden State' yet? I have a copy and was going to send it if ya still want to see it...

Come to think of it, whatever happened to them? They might be fun for a reread. But not those Nancy Drew Case Files paperbacks that came out later. Those were awful. >_

Yeah, I know what you mean. It took me two viewings to really appreciate it. I spent most of the first movie thinking Zach Braff's character was going to bite it, so I was not "emotionally" invested. ^_~
