The Dreaded Ex used to get headaches ALL THE TIME and I used to get so annoyed with him because nothing seemed to help him. Well, for the past three weeks, I have had a headache every day and am now heartily sorry I ever made fun of him.
Ouch.
In other news, JP and I were talking about childhood books and I was waxing poetic about these ancient sets I owned that were hand-me-downs from my older sister's friend's mother: the Donna Parker and Trixie Beldon series. I believe there were also a couple of Bobbsey Twins books.
My favorite, by far, were the Donna Parker books. I read those (already) raggety books until the page edges crumbled and fell out of the spine. So you can imagine my delight when I not only found several on eBay, but also found a website devoted to her! Yay for 1950's heroines and their poodle skirts and black-and-white milkshakes! I know the stories are horribly old-fashioned, but they give me the warm fuzzies. ^_______^
Sometimes I wonder where my ethnicity went. LOL...
Dude, have I been posting a lot lately or what?!
