Ten day meme thingie, continued. Tomorrow, work. Blegh.

I wish I hadn't gotten a degree in Biology; a subject I loved, like English or History, would have suited me better.

I wish I hadn't talked myself out of applying for ivy league colleges - even back then I fretted about money.

I wish I hadn't let one horrible oral assessment keep me from trying out for the Foreign Service again. Back then I had nothing holding me here and now, it's more complicated.

I wish I hadn't turned down that congressional internship in Washington, D.C.

I wish I hadn't let one bad relationship scare me away from California.

I wish I hadn't stopped working out. I am at ground zero all over again.

Those oral assessments can be so demoralizing. I'm thinking I will pass on this next round of written exams and see how I feel later in the year after I've expired off the Consular list....
