More ramblings of a vapid and not-so-vapid nature

Today was lovely. Momster has been kinda blue since the Kid left, so she and I went shopping today in hopes of perking her up and getting us both out of the house. TOTALLY innocent, but we landed in the same store as my red suede mules and they were on sale. Well, that was it for me. Momster laughed when I explained my "dire straights" and strict regimen and she rolled her eyes and said, "Mija - you only live once and if a $20 pair of shoes is going to break you, then maybe your priorities are a little off center."

I want to know when I became the uber responsible, watches-her-pennies-like-a-miser one in this family? Well, I guess by comparison...the rest of the fam spend pretty recklessly. Anyway, by the end of her lecture, I had 2 new pairs of shoes, 2 new t-shirts, and 2 new capri pants. Thanks, ma...after making me break down and buy the damn shoes, she paid for everything else (massive sale, BTW...I love Mervyn's). So, whee!

Later, my computer appeared to be hit by some virus and kept shutting itself down. I was already in a terribly cranky mood because my *ahem* cramps had kicked into high gear and were causing me HORRIBLE pain that 6 aspirin did nothing to alleviate. JP to the rescue! He got home from work and spent 3 hours patiently fixing the problem (seeing as how the computer wouldn't stay on, it took him awhile).

I am quite swoony over him for coming along and taking care of me and my computer, especially because I was feeling so shitty and moaning about how God was punishing me for not wanting children. Anyway, I love him very much, and not just because he is smart and sweet and puts up with my shit. He can be rather amusing to boot and takes out the garbage all the time. ^_~

After all the drama, I had a nap, we went to eat Indian food (yum and strike 2 for the saving money thing), and rented some movies.

Heh. Poor Dom!

Heehee, penny pinching... reminds me of my college days when I only live on ramen and water... but somehow that didn't stop me from buying loads of cels. LOL! But shopping spree is good once in a while, it's a form of stress relieve I'm convinced. ^_^

Yikes! Computer problem... I actually have been hearing similar problems poping up all over... some said that it could be that worm thingie Microsoft (Eeeeeeeevillllllllllll) been talking about for a while. o_O Hopefully everything's back to normal. JP to the rescue!!! ^_^

Heh. With every raise I convince myself that things are going to get better financially, but it hasn't, so I have deduced that my crazy spending habits are to blame. It's only taken me 10 years to figure that out! *snicker*

Yes, the evil virus was a big pain. Grrr...

JP to the rescue!

I think I shall have that printed on a shirt. *grin*
