I got your denial right here!
In a sad, sad last ditch effort to escape reality, I am refusing to balance my checkbook or even peek to see if I have any money left in my account. Worst comes to worst, my bank covers any overdrafts by pulling from my piddly savings account. But I just don't want to deal right now.
Well, I took the semi-high road by ratting on the Day Team Beotch but supporting her decisions. The shit should officially hit the fan tomorrow morning. My immediate boss returns to work tonight, so I may even get a phone call later. Oh, well. I am sick of worrying about work and stressing over my daily performance therein.
In other escapist news, in spite of a bank balance on the brink of bankruptcy (like that alliteration?) I am full steam ahead in my plans to venture forth and buy the Two Towers DVD. That's right...$15 and change that could be spent on food or gas or bills is going towards that movie. Just try and stop me!
Sometimes I wonder if I'm cracking up. Sometimes I think I already have and no one has noticed or they are going out of their way to be polite about it. As the Kid is always fond of saying, "Oooh, Switcher...you are one sick puppy!" A cookie to anyone who recognizes that line. ^_~
Oh, well. Am listening to Sarah Brightman's 'Anytime, Anywhere.' It is set to Albinoni's Adagio in G minor, which is quite possibly the most moving piece of music I have ever heard. Seriously. My throat aches and my eyes burn every time I hear it. Add Sarah Brightman's ethereal vocals to it and I have images of crucifixions and angels against a blue-black sky, their hands and eyes raised in supplication. Very Biblical.

Thumbs up!
Believe it or not, probably the most emotional piece of music that I've listened to is "Concerning Hobbits." My heart just swells when I hear it. I love it so much, that I had the organist at my wedding play "Many Meetings" for the prelude of my marriage ceremony. I couldn't find sheet music for "Concerning Hobbits", but "Many Meetings" is a variation of it. :D
Re: Thumbs up!
Ah! Yes, some of the pieces in the LotR soundtracks are incredibly emotional. I love 'Concerning Hobbits' too! What a great idea to play the music for your wedding...it's a piece that evokes a lot of emotion.
