Still coughing, still bitchy

I am seriously jonesing for some Japanese TV drama all of a sudden. Bit Torrent is not cooperating! I am trying to catch up with Hana Yori Dango LA series (although I have heard it's a letdown) and then I thought I'd check out the Nana LA movies. Any other suggestions, my friends? You know I love the sappy, shojo soap operas, preferably with young, pretty men. ^_____^

In other news, huh:

The Priss

Deliberate Brutal Love Dreamer (DBLD)

The Priss

Mature. Responsible. Aristocratic. Excuse me. The Priss.

Prisses are the smartest of all female types. You're highly perceptive, and confident in your judgements. You'd take brutal honesty over superficiality any time--your friends always know where they stand with you. You're completely unfake. Don't tell me that's not a word. You're also excellent at redirecting internal negative energy.

These facts indicate people are often intimidated by you. They also fall for you, hard. You have a distant, composed allure that many find irresistible. If only more of them lived up to your standards.

You were probably the last among your friends to have sex. And the first to pretend that you're pregnant. LOL. Though you're inclined to use sex as weapon, at least it's not as one of mass destruction. You're choosier than most about your partners. A supportive relationship is what you're really after. Whether you know it or not, you need something steady & long-term. And soothing.

Your exact female opposite:

Always avoid: The Playboy (RGSM), The Loverboy (RGLM)

Consider: The Manchild (RBLD)

ETA: Hee, I am not lazy, I swear. I guess I'll start here: [profile] jdorama. But I'd still love to hear recs.

Have you watched the Hana Kimi jdodrama? It's quite cute, though apparently the Taiwanese version, available via YouTube, is more faithful to the manga series. There's also Yamada-tarou no monogatari, which looked entertaining and stars a couple of cute jpoppers. I caught eps of both this summer. And there's always Furin Kazan, for the hot Gackt factor, and cheesy period jdorama! XDDDD

It's old now, but I always gotta support my love of Water Boys 2! Also another old one, but really cute is Mukodono. It stars the lead singer from Tokio. He is this huge popular idol by day, but at home with his *secret* wife and her family he is the world's biggest dork.

For pure high school cheese there is the Gokusen series (1 is better than 2 according to Sarah), which of course is drowing in Johnnys idols. To be honest I haven't seen a manga adaptation drama that I've liked (although Nodame was close).

Thank you, my friends! I will check them out.
