Random ramblings

I think JP is worried about me because all I like to watch on TV is baking contests, shows about picking wedding dresses, and those MSNBC specials about severely depraved killers and unsolved mysteries.

My sunburn is peeling. Gross.

I saw Sex & the City 2 and everything you read about it is true. All I could think as they showed shots of Abu Dhabi, in all its richness and splendor, was, we built that city. Our ridiculous consumption of oil did that. Not to get all soap-boxy, because I own a car and I use it. But still. The opulence was quite disgusting. Other than that, it was a fun movie.

JP leaves for Seattle in a few days. He will be gone for two weeks, during which time I plan on barricading myself in the house. Should be fun and not terrifying at all. LOL...

We should watch these together. Srsly. That's a lot of what I watch too, except mine are mostly on ID Discovery (Yay, HD cable!). My DD's got a mad crush on Randy from Say Yes to the Dress.

That would be awesome! I need a TV watching pardner who shares my tastes. Lol, I love Randy too. If you are cool with catching the occasional true crime type show, we are good to go!

OCCASIONAL true crime show?? I live and breathe FORENSIC FILES. DD and I have even played a game in which one person offers a brief verbal outline of a crime scene and the other suggests what sorts of forensic techniques will be used. We made this up ourselves. Don't look at me that way... ;)

Are you kidding me? That is AWESOME! LOL...

All JP ever does is make crude jokes about the cases. :(

I am in Seattle! If he goes to the art museum I might be in the gift shop. What guy doesn't want to go to the art museum gift shop???

LOL! JP used to live in Puyallup and I've visited the area like twice, but I have been to that museum more than he has.

I should tell him I want a gift from your shop, heehee! What do you recommend? ^_~

Haha, my bf and I were just talking about Puyallup today! "It's so far south!" he says. Lol. I'm used to things being too far north - everything happens in Seattle for me these days!

Well if he should happen into the shop... he could potentially get an incredibly overpriced Hammering Man magnet ($7), or there's the Kurt Cobain show going on now so there's all sorts of grunge-inspired goods (hats made out of old flannel and jeans, wallets made out of shoes and tires). What I would recommend most, though, (mainly cause I want one) is a stuffed toy called a Snooter Doot. :D You can look at the Snooter Doot adoption center here.

Otherwise, mini meals are relatively cheap and exciting, if they're in stock. I'll leave that one a mystery.
