Well, I have returned from my mini-trip to see JP. I had a faboo time, save the hour or so I watched the doctor torture my poor sweetie. We spent the majority of the time just vegging together. We watched some anime and sampled some hentai (eeee)! My favorite of the bunch was 'Goldenboy.' It was soooo educational. LOL!

We saw 'Spirited Away' and it rocked! Just beautiful art and storyline. I love Miyazaki. I have a feeling I'm missing a lot of cultural references in the movie, so I'll have to do some research. We also went to see 'Spiderman' (very well-done IMHO) and 'Lilo & Stitch' again (our first "date" movie). We hung out in the international district and went shopping at Uwajimaya. Lots of Japanese goodies and snackies everywhere...I nearly passed out. Heh. I got to meet crackdog as well as evilminion and her hubby. They are all terrific - friendly and funny. I love meeting cel buds!

I miss the cats. And JP, of course. *^_^*

I returned home and went straight back to work (suck). But I am getting by and that's what's important. I watched 'We Were Soldiers' this afternoon and had a good cry. I was ashamed of our casual willingness to throw so many young people into a slaughter; proud at the valor and heroism displayed by ordinary men and women in extraordinary situations; and horrified at the whole battle experience. I am a military brat through and through...years spent living on and near air bases have made me patriotic since birth. But, yeesh. Go see it or read the book which I hear is even better. Very, very moving.

But, I'll stop preaching now and post a couple of quizzes to prove that I am, in fact, frothy and frivolous. *grin*

Sweet...I am my favorite episode. ^_^

Which CowBoy BeBop Session Are You?

Session 26:
"I'm not going there to die. I'm going there to see if I really am alive." - Spike
You finally get it.
Very few people ever reach that point in life, but you my friend have made it.
Seeing beyond the everyday problems of our existance, you finally have the weight you carried for so long lifted from your shoulders.
You understand everyday must be enjoyed for what it is, and when this dream we call life ends, that's all that matters.
