I think I should really look into some serious frequent flyer plans. This makes my third trip to Seattle in 3 months. Not that I'm complaining...far from it. I get to miss work, see my sweetie, and spend time in one of the loveliest parts of America.
JP is doing well, for which I am deeply grateful. We spent lots of time vegging in front of the TV and sleeping, two things I rarely get to indulge in 'round here. I also spent a memorable morning wandering around the Seattle Art Museum's Frida Kahlo/Diego Rivera exhibit. I am a huge fan of those Commies!
LOL...but seriously, Diego Rivera's paintings and murals of Mexican migrants are indicative of the people themselves: vibrant, crude, and larger than life. Not to sound all snotty or anything...I come from that migrant farmer background. I never had to pick scratchy cotton during my childhood summers like my parents, but the images are very near to my heart. End of art lecture.
But it's once again time to return to my everyday hundrum life. I called work earlier and have received reports that the new associate is already making enemies among the staff by enforcing mandatory overtime on Saturdays. Pardon my language, but sweet tap-dancing Christ. Yet another mess for me to clean up. Yay.
And on that note I will wrap this up and only say:
1. I will try and answer all emails ASAP
2. I was extra good and only bought one thing at the Taro sale...
3. But then was very bad and won Nick's silent auction for the CLAMP cel of the CCD headmistress...
4. Ergo, I will be selling some cels in the near future. Meh.
5. I miss JP and the cats, but I think everyone probably knows that already! *grin*
