Lovely day...
Mar. 18th, 2003 04:13 amI woke late, worked out, ran all kinds of errands, and felt accomplished in general. I went to Garden Ridge Pottery (best store in San Antonio, hands down) and wandered down the aisles dreamily, trying to decide whether or not to buy a new dinner set and if so whether or not to match it to my kitchen stuff.
JP and I have quasi-decided on a place. I will say no more until the deal is clinched, but everyone wish us luck! ^_~
Roberta called, all upset because her cheating hound-dog of an ex-fiance had called her out of the blue. We discussed it, dissecting the conversation for all hidden meanings and innuendo. I love being a girl sometimes. She was laughing by the time we got off the phone, so that was a good sign. I feel for her, though. It's rare that a call from an ex brings tidings of joy.
I got my DVD and books from Overstock, including my anthology of sea-related poems. Lovely:
Searching my heart for its true sorrow,
This is the thing I find to be:
That I am weary of words and people,
Sick of the city, wanting the sea
- Edna St. Vincent Millay, "Exiled"
Dude, Edna rocks! LOL...
