*sigh*

So much for girl's night out. One of the "girls" was having boy problems, so instead of going out, I spent a couple of hours on the phone assuring her that her man was scum and that we would break her fingers if she tried to call him. Then, we dissected their on-again-off-again relationship in great detail. Again.

Actually, I don't mind. That's what friends are for and I find my girly side rather craves stuff like this from time to time. I have to admit I feel a little smug. Not secure in the fact that JP will never hurt me, but that I know he would never be intentionally cruel, insensitive, or prone to playing mind games. And that, my friends, makes ALL the difference in the world.

I finally talked my girl into meeting the Kid and I for a drink at a nearby bar. She wound up getting a call from you-know-who and never showed up, so we drank a couple of kick-ass Bloody Marys and called it a night.

I get to work all day and all night Easter Sunday but it's worth it to have Thanksgiving and Christmas off this year. And on Monday...South Padre Island! ^_^
