Ho, hum...
May. 23rd, 2003 07:22 amGot out of work early - my funeral leave pushed me into overtime this week, so I am scaling back today and tonight. Um, yay?
Well, I heard from both my boss and another associate that the meeting went well. Yes, the one held at my request that I did not even attend. Apparently, they blasted the day team on my behalf and called them out on several of my complaints. Aw, thanks guys! *^_^*
However, my boss cautioned me that things would probably not get any better and that I should protect myself by documenting everything from now on. She told me that I had my career to think about and that if I was going to succeed, I needed to adapt around people like the Day Team Beotches. She has a point; there will always be people that I simply do not get along with. I can either play the game or ignore it and get my ass handed back to me. So to speak.
JP gave me advice very similar to what my boss said...and my father, a long time HR veteran of the office trenches agreed. It's good advice, but it's going to take some getting used to. Next thing you know, I'll be planting evidence and giving false depositions. Hmmm....
*grin*
I'm taking my silly ass outta here...
