Not really. But I had a chocolate milkshake earlier and it was lovely.
*cough*
I thought I would do that meme thing-y where you paste the first sentence of the first entry of every month for 2004 and I got this less-than-stellar year-in-review:
I have been watching 'Shakespeare in Love' and muttering couplets under my breath whenever no one is around. Feeling better now that I've slept. Nothing makes me happier than wearing delicate pink ankle socks with big black I'm-gonna-kick-yer-ass combat boots. Told my boss I needed time to prepare for school presentation and she let me go home early. The weather is crazy outside! Oh. My. God. Just a flying entry to say my vacation was wonderful, but WAY TOO SHORT. The Kid bought me a DVD player because my little APEX was making a death rattle. I love how Davy-boy always refers to me as 'Beautiful.' Off to Disney World! What the Hell is going on in Texas? I must be mad.
You will all take comfort in knowing that I still enjoy wearing delicate pink ankle socks with my Docs. That is, I *would* but I cannot find said socks. Or any matching socks for that matter, but we won't get into my theory about the Great Sock Heist of '04 right now.
I saw Spanglish today and it was definitely a two-napkin movie. I cried several times. Definitely worth watching. The two parallel stories tie together in a very lovely way and Adam Sandler (oh God I cannot believe I am saying this) is dead sexy as the successful man who loves and understands his family like precious few do in this world. *dies from embarrassment* There is something very familiar about the housekeeper's little girl trying to straddle the world of the barrio and the upper middle-class arena she is starting to know and love.
