I don't care what the haters say...
With the exception of the epileptic seizure it induced, Speed Racer rocked! JP got us tickets to the IMAX showing this afternoon and wow! I loved it. And, from the purely shallow POV I am adopting and making my very own, can I just say. Leather. Pants. O.M.G. !!!
The first racing scene, with a back view of Emile Hirsch wearing head-to-toe white leather before pulling on a jacket? Ding dong! Then, Racer X in his tiiiiight black leather outfit (why hello THAR, Matthew Fox!) was all deliciously strict. And before I had time to recover, there is freakin' Emile in the classic blue shirt/white pants/red ascot Speed Racer attire (also skin-tight, thank you God). So I am DONE and THEN what should happen, but Rain comes out in white leather with a beautiful dragon (?) design crawling up the side of it.
Guh. Just. GUH.
I never knew I had a leather fetish. The tight pants, yes. But leather. Hmmm. Somehow, I feel my animal-rights activist friends would not approve...
American Idol update: obsession gathering speed, I'm afraid. I think I must refrain from talking about it any more this weekend, lest ya'll find out how sick I really am. Er, right?
