You're so Vain, You Probably Think this LJ is About You

On the DC stuff... I guess there are some very, um, persistent fans. Some do appear to be literally following him and the band from concert to concert. Are people really doing this? How can they afford to do it? Are they independently wealthy? Do they not have jobs, or school, or families? *shrugs* I don't really know any details; it's all pretty murky from my end of things, as someone who hasn't seen him yet and had to pass up a cheap ticket because I couldn't afford the rest of the expenses related to attending (gasoline, hotel room, food etc.)
