15 Years Ago, I:
1. was 15 years old and a sophmore in high school.
2. desperately wanted to make the dance team and practiced all year for tryouts
3. regularly made the highest grades in all my honors classes (before I discovered boys)
4. had a crush on the BIGGEST nerd, Ruben, who wound up marrying his high school sweetheart
5. felt like I would never have a boyfriend
10 Years Ago, I:
1. was 20 years old, in my third year of college, and into my third major
2. dated three guys at the same time and was quite full of myself
3. partied and drank A LOT
4. met the Dreaded Ex and mistook chemistry for love
5. thought I knew it all
5 Years Ago, I:
1. moved to San Diego in an effort to save my relationship with the DE
2. loved everything about San Diego except the horror of nightly fights, disappearing boyfriend, and suspicion that the ass was cheating and afraid to tell me
3. met Lynn, my savior, and together with the crew from work, we used to go salsa dancing, to concerts, and even karaoke-ing.
4. started to use the internet for something other than email
5. met a sweet boy named Sean who had a crush on me and I ignored him because I'm stupid
3 Years Ago, I:
1. started collecting anime cels, the current bane of my financial existence
2. was rather happy being single, although my time with DE had ravaged a large portion of my confidence and self-worth
3. went to my first Anime Expo - whoa, momma! It was great fun...
4. started spending more time with the Kid: at bars, bookstores, the movies, or just watching TV at home. I used to love to drag him to the symphony or the opera. Hee!
5. hung out with the girls at work, doing cool stuff like road trips to South Padre Island
1 Year Ago, I:
1. felt like a failure because I could not get a handle on my job
2. already knew and loved JP
3. was in squee-love with 'Fellowship of the Ring' and Viggo Mortensen
4. lived with the Kid in a loft-style, 2-BR condo
5. joined my current gym (and have gone how many times?!)
Yesterday, I:
1. went over to my parents and ate shrimp cocktail and watched TTT DVD with Dad
2. had to call into work for a meeting
3. smoked a cigarette (SHOCK) with Paul while she spilled her guts to me about her troubled marriage
4. then I cheered her up by suggesting a roadtrip to see the Kid in Charleston
5. visited Davy-boy and his 6, no, 7 dogs
Today, I:
1. will finally go use the Barnes & Noble giftcard JP bought me
2. will work out! Yes!
3. woke up at the ungodly hour of 6:30AM
4. had a bad dream that my HS boyfriend dumped me and I sent Paul into school as a spy to figure out why
5. will spend time with JP because I haven't really done so in a week
Hrm, I feel rather politically incorrect here! But the answers were too funny to pass up. I actually do say, "You go, girl!" I also have been known to down a few martinis when I'm in the mood. Boy George! <3
