melcreada | Is it too late to say "Bah, humbug!" ?

Well, I bolted out of work today. I wish I could say I flounced out in disgust, but it was more I ran like Hell to avoid the morning ass-chewing I have been getting lately. Feh. I could like my job more if the daytime boss would get off my case.

But anyhoo...in the good news, Nay-nay brought me flowers: a colorful bunch of autumn-colored roses and carnations. I caught most of 'Quarterback Princess,' one of my favorite movies from long ago. I also just remembered that I will be getting a tax return this year which I think should go towards a certain truck rental.

The bad news: I still got chewed out, via the telephone. I have 30 employee yearly reviews to write by Monday. Instead of being sweet and supportive, I scolded JP when he got home from a long, hard night at work. I haven't worked out since Wednesday and, let's face it folks, that is NOT going to cut it. I have been feeling that, as a result of my lengthy and consuming self-introspection, I really don't know the people around me as well as I should. Since it's all about me, me, me. And finally, this entry is a downer when I wanted to be light and funny.

Well, when all else fails, read a book and take a nap. Sounds like a faboo idea.
