I believe I mentioned that I recently agreed to something that totally contradicted an item from my "50 Things" meme and here is the proof. In keeping with the true duality of my nature, I have consented to KITTIES!!!

Yes. These little darlings now belong to JP and me. The black and white one with the crazed look in his eyes is Ono (as in "Oh, no what's he doing now?!"). The pretty black one is Jiji, named after the mouthy cat in 'Kiki's Delivery Service.'





Jiji can be very vocal and aloof. Ono is cuddly and INSANE. Sheesh.

In other news, I should hear more about the day position on Tuesday, when I am expected to give a firm "yes" or "no." My boss gave me details about it and, I'm happy to say, this level of supervisor has more to do with projects and working with IT and the vendors rather than managing workflow and employee concerns. Can I get a wOOt?!

Saw 'Sky Captain' earlier and all I can say is I must be reading too much slash because I immediately went into 12-year-old-SQUEE mode when Jude Law and Giovanni Ribisi had their first scene together. So cute. ^____^ Other than that, the visuals were wonderful (LOVE the robots and the hazy, dreamlike quality of the scenes), Jude Law is so-so-sexay, and Gwyneth Paltrow has all the warmth and likability of a wet noodle. Major, major props for this homage to old movies/serials. <3

I LOVED when Joe punched Polly. Is that so wrong? ^_~

Yeah... this is the type of film I think will do well in Japan so I'm sure there will be plenty of Joe/Dex doujinshi. He only say "Good boy Dex!" like five times or something, hands on him each time! He only rushed with all his care to save Dex! All the co-stars just gave him this look of "oh it's serious for him" every time he said Dex was captured!

Damn Angelina Jolie was badass and yes I didn't like Polly at all. The Polly/Joe romance was above average though. But jeez... if she's like that now, can you imagine if they were to really get together? I think the six months captured was probably better for Joe than six more months of her... but well...

Yes, the romance had all the snap and innuendo of a 1930s/40s-era movie, which IMO is better than anything overt and anvil-ish. I just couldn't get over Polly's personality. >_<

I think the six months captured was probably better for Joe than six more months of her...
