Dia de los Muertos!
Nov. 1st, 2003 07:23 amDon't ask me why I am up so damn early...partly disgruntled over something and partly freaked out by a long, engaging nightmare (complete with sad ghosts, a haunted house, freakin' zombies, pretty pop stars, and friends and co-workers galore).
Last night, JP and I went to Maria's costume party and I introduced him to the gang. The consensus was that we are complete opposites, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. Everyone looked cute in their costumes. Their family played silly games and we drank beer and gabbed. Very nice altogether.
Came home and eventually fell asleep and had the long, scary dream. ( Details here. )
Traditionally what we should do today is go hang out in a graveyard with all my dead relatives, bringing them flowers and food along with some pictures and candles. But since we have so many family members at different cemetaries, we pick different holidays to visit their graves and today just kinda gets forgotten. But I like the idea of Day of the Dead. I mean, Remembrance should have been my middle name. ^_~
