melcreada: (wish for shoes)

TCM continues to woo me by playing Miyazaki's movies twice: once with the dub, once with the sub. Oh, how I luuurve TCM!

I have been seeing cute shoes everywhere, but I'm pleased to say that I've been resisting temptation. So far. There is a really slutty pair of high-heeled clog mules, at Payless of all places, that I might just have to get because they are cheap and so over the top. I need a hobby other than spending money.

My brother got me Dangermouse and Licence to Drive on DVD as belated Christmas gifts. PENFOLD! THE COREYS! These will bring back some good memories, especially DM which I will always associate with its lead-in, You Can't Do That on Television.

Oh yeah, I went there.

Off to bed now so I will be bright and perky for work in the morning. SUCK!

Dangermouse! I totally have the same memory as you too! While I'm sure Dangermouse has held up over the years, I'm sure it's Nickelodeon lead-in hasn't.

Hee, hee. I'm tempted to hunt it down, but know I will be terribly disappointed like the time I found and rewatched The Care Bears Nutcracker Suite, in spite of the fond memory of my brother and I running around calling the Evil Vizier "the Evil BRAZIER!!!"

*shakes head*

zOMG, Dangermouse...You Can't Do That On Television T____T I loves j00 for mentioning those. Those were things my whole family were addicted to, which was just awesome really.

Saw the 2 Dangermouse DVD sets recently, hadn't yet allowed myself to buy 'em, but I think I will soon. Ahh, nostalgia~

Oh how I loved Dangermouse! And it was the perfect gift because I would never have bought it for myself. *grin*

My brother and I can still quote that movie like no one's business! And Heather Graham in ankle socks and high heels cannot be missed! LOL...

Thanks, it's Anne Taintor. Have you ever seen her stuff? It is hilarious! 1950s-type photos with funny/bitchy comments. *grin*
