I have been out of town for the last few days, at Animefest. It was fun, nothing too thrilling or too terrible. Just a nice weekend (although I wasn't much impressed with the main musical talent, United Fellas, especially when AF managed to get Maaya Sakamoto and FLOW over the past two years. Oh, well.). As usual, when I come home from a con, I want to get online and buy lots of anime. ^_~
We caught a couple of good shows, one of them down right fantastic. Sayonara ZetsubÅ Sensei is dark and twisted and funny: kind of like Jubei Chan. On crack and suicidal. But hands down, the best series we saw was Lovely Complex. Damn show made me cry in the video room. Twice! Just sweet and funny and painful in the way that some shows are when they remind you of love in high school: crushes and rejection and drah-mah. That flippy, butterflies-in-the-stomach, is he looking at me?!?! feeling. Yeah. Good stuff.
So, s'up peeps? Hope everyone had a good Labor Day. I will be catching up on LJ and emails and stressing about my interview tomorrow.
