Well, I am home. All the viewings, rosaries, and funerals are over. The one good thing that always comes from times like these is the reunion of family members from far and wide. It was good to see some cousins that I have not seen for years. And, of course, my unforgettable drives with Paul and Davy-boy. Hee...

I always find it odd that some kind of automatic pilot takes over when I am in church. With the exception of one year in high school, I have never attended services, CCD, or confirmation classes with any kind of regularity. But I know all the responses, the songs, and the order of things. Wow, Catholicism is soooo predictable. ^_~

I usually feel a little strange in church, like someone who has snuck backstage and is scared of being discovered, but unwilling to leave because they are afraid of missing something. I actually liked the rosary. There is something deeply soothing about repetition.

I am scheduled to return to work tonight. They actually held the meeting without me. Bastards. *ahem* See, why I don't follow the church? If I did, I would have to try and forgive the Day Team Beotches and my heart is not that generous. >_<

In nicer-type news, I have recouped my losses from the dream cel and have had the temerity to start drooling over more goodies. I think I better cool it. I am moving this weekend...

And speaking of that, I have already given the new place a once over and it looks faboo! The garage is a little scary, mainly because it's so narrow. But I dig it! After I get my stuff in there, I'll have to post a pic or two. Whee!

As you can see, my latest LJ icon is taken from my new Kanno watercolor sketch of Spike. Woo! Update forthcoming as soon as everything gets hooked up at the new place. *^_^*

I am having a nice flashback thanks to the song I'm listening to...Paul, the Kid, and I lying on the cool tile floor of our house in the Philippines. We're making up stories and eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches while the 'Little Women' anime is muted on the TV behind us. Awww...

Even though I always hated going to CCD (interrupted my Saturday morning cartoon schedule dagnabit!) I agree that there is something so soothing about the monotony of the Catholic church. Here's to happier days ahead for you and your family ^_^

Oh and that Spike sketch is too gorgeous o_O

ROTFL!

YES!YES!YES!

CCD interrupting my cartoons is such a vivid memory. I would have been much less opposed to it if VCR's were around or if there were nothing good on. I can remember leaving halfway through every episode of Godzilla and Godzookie, never knowing how they turned out. Ha,ha,ha. Memories....

Yeah I was always so bitter because I would miss the 2nd half of Rainbow Brite (grrrr) and all of She-Ra not to mention parts of GI Joe!

Maybe being deprived of cartoons as a youth has made me the anime fan I am today ^_~ nah....

Thank you.

My parents were always very relaxed about us going to church and CCD. However, MY cartoon watching was interrupted by the five other people in the house that fought over the TV. LOL...

Thankies about the Spike. He is bee-yew-tee-ful!

Glad to hear your'e doing well. It sounds like it was a very somber and beautiful set of ceremonies.

Best of luck with the move... oi... moving ~.~

I almost want to go back to the Philippines briefly and take advantage of the culture and the relatives...

Oh, and a very gorgeous Spike that is... I love the colors and the pose and evertyhign...

Yes, all the ceremony kinda helps in a way...

Moving...ugh! Wish me luck. LOL...

Yes, sometimes I really miss the Philippines. However, I think I would see it in a very different way since I left when I was 12. Dunno.

Thanks - I love my new Spike! ^_^

Glad everything going back to normal for you. *hugs*

As for church, I have to admit that it's very calming to just sit in a cathedral and admire the architecture (ahhh... the architect in me speaking again), but I think I'll pass on the service. ^^;;;

Gorgeous Spike!! *__*
