For an incredibly dumb reason, but...

One of the huge extraction machines at work broke down last night and I fixed it with scotch tape! Yes!

*snicker*

Getting that machine up and running and seeing the unearthly glow of admiration shining from several employees' eyes was reward enough for a 15-hour day that started bad and just kept getting worse.

Look, what's wrong with giving the kid a cheap thrill? Poor little screw-up. He's about thisclose to being fired. He took a second job driving the tourist boats on the Riverwalk and has not been coming to work.
