Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] annearchy and loads of fun (made me remember that DAYUM, I've been to a lot of concerts!):

What was the last concert you attended?
David Cook in San Francisco (unless you count the Star Wars concert, which I do not)

What bands have you seen in concert the most, and how many times?
I am going to sound like a fickle bitch, but there are not a lot of people I see in concert a bunch of times. I try and see all the bands I really like at least once and that is a BIG list. David Cook will be happy to know he tops it at a whopping 4 times, with the Swell Season a close second with two whole shows!

Do you have any setlists? From what bands?
Nah. David Cook did throw a pick that bounced off my mom and once my friend caught a drumstick from the drummer of Smashing Pumpkins.

Are there any CDs in close proximity to you? Which ones?
Verdi’s La Traviata

What band are you in the mood to see live right this second?
The Swell Season. I am still pissed about missing them last month!

Have you ever been on a tour bus?
No, but I have been in a band’s hotel room (get your minds out of the gutter, nothing happened because I was a good girl).

Have you ever partied with a band?
Embarrassing story, yet somehow I feel compelled to tell it. My friends and I were at a Denny’s one night (this is back in college) and one of them recognized a group of guys in the corner as a (then) up and coming pop group called Rhythm Syndicate (oy). Anyway, her and my other friend went to go talk to them, but I was too shy. The lead singer gave my friends free tickets to their next concert on the stipulation that they bring me along and that we hang out with them afterwards. So, we went and hung out with them in their hotel room in Austin. The lead singer and I kissed when we were alone in the elevator, but that was it.

How many states/provinces have you been to concerts in?
Geez, I dunno. Three or four states.

What bands did you see live the month of May?
Death Cab for Cutie.

What CD are you addicted to at the moment?
Ha,ha – the Buffy Once More With Feeling soundtrack.

Who is one band that you used to like, but now you can’t stand?
Ugh. Maroon 5. Way overplayed.

Have you ever been on anyone's guest list? Whose?
Yes, see embarrassing story above.

Last band person that you got a picture with?
I took a picture with Glen Hansard of the Swell Season.

Do you consider yourself a groupie?
Nope. Definitely not.

How old were you when you went to your first concert?
Thirteen, I think.

Who was it?
I remember going to 3 concerts that year, but I can’t remember which one was first: the Bangles (where the crowd was throwing beer bottles), A-ha (Morten Harket was my dream man), or Julian Lennon (my SOULMATE, OMG!).

Which artists haven't you seen yet that you want to see?
There are so many 90s era artists I would love to see, but haven’t. Alice in Chains and the Toadies are up there, though. I would also like to see Coldplay and Jason Mraz.

Are you wearing a band shirt right now?
No.

What band do you own the most merch of?
I think the only thing I still own is a NIN t-shirt…somewhere. And possibly a Pearl jam one too. My ex took my favorite, a Depeche Mode concert shirt. *sniffle*

Do you ever do anything crazy at shows?
Not really. I just go to enjoy the music.

What are your favorite venues to go to shows at?
I am in love with the Austin Music Hall, also the Backyard in Austin, and Cheatham Street Warehouse in San Marcos (except for the smoke, yuck!). Also, special props to The Paramount in Austin and The Fillmore in San Francisco – they are both beautiful old spaces with so much history.

What band do you have the most performance pictures of?
LOL, David Cook!

Would you ever get a tattoo representing a band?
I don’t know. Maybe lyrics, but that is iffy.

How many concerts do you average a year?
6 or 7? It just depends…

Upcoming Shows?
I wanted to go see the Toadies on Friday night, but I have to be at work at 5am on Saturday and it looks like the weather might turn nasty, so this old lady is staying home.

I took a picture with Glen Hansard of the Swell Season.

I flove Glen Hansard. I am so jealous.

I never would have done it if JP hadn't suggested it. Glen was actually kinda snarky with him, which I loved also. Glen was also surprisingly accessible - there were less than 10 people waiting for him after the show and he took his time with all of us.
