melcreada: (kissing is awesome!)
Okay, I promise not to complain (too much) in this entry.

I had mostly a good day (barely wanted to stab ANYONE). I also worked out so, go me! That brings my grand total to: 10 times this year!

American Idol continues to underwhelm me, although I am still watching and rooting for certain contestants: Lee "Sorry I Broke Up With You In My Dream!" Dewyze, Casey "Hot Or Not Hot, I Can't Decide" James, and Alex "I Hate Your Mullet" Lambert. I still love Andrew, but seriously, he is letting me down. I loved his Fall Out Boy but everything after that has made me meh. And among the girls, I still like Crystal and Didi the best.

And now, I am going to talk about shoes. I love shoes. Truly. Madly. Deeply. However, I have wide feet. Not wide for a girl or even wide for a boy. More like, wide for a duck (true fact: my mother calls my feet "patas" which is Spanish for "duck" - thanks, Ma). The point of this is that shoe shopping is never as fun as I think it is going to be, mainly because most stores don't carry a whole lot of cute shoes in uber-wide sizes. Ergo, zappos.com is where I go for my crack. My favorite brand there is Softspots. They make a wide assortment of cute, comfortable, WIDE shoes. However, lately, their newer stuff has not been doing it for me. Like, I used to love going into Lane Bryant because their stuff was so chic, but now it seems like whenever I walk in there, I am attacked by the ugly (which is why I now live at Old Navy).

Where was I going with this? Oh, yes. I need a shoe fix. Hmmm. I guess that was it. My journal: come for the bitching, stay for the pointless rambling!

My DD has very large, wide feet (like, women's size 10 1/2 to 12 Wide or maybe extra wide). Patas, indeed. I have a hella time finding shoes for her, and of course she wears them out like she's got razors in her feet.

Wow, I feel her pain (and yours!)

When I was younger, my mother had someone make all my shoes (wow, I was around when people still used cobblers) so I guess online shopping isn't such a bad deal, LOL.

I just wish I could run around barefoot more... ^_~

Andrew's performance was painful to watch. At this point I almost want him to just do "Straight Up" so we can have a little bit of that magic back. Glad Crystal is doing well at least.

heh, i have the opposite problem with my feet - they're long and narrow so I get lots of blisters and dressier shoes and sandals tend to fly off my feet which means for things like pumps I have to buy a smaller size that end up squishing my toes. The only non-online store I've had good luck with finding narrow shoes is Nordstrom Rack...maybe they have wide too...

Yeah, no kidding! Oy! I don't want to be wrong about Andrew. :(

LOL, my brother has the same problem as you...long, narrow feet. He has a heck of a time because men's shoes are often too wide for him.

Nordstrom Rack? They just opened one by us, this is the perfect excuse to check them out! LOL...

Thanks for the tip!
