So...happy post...

Good things that are happening:

- Tomorrow is my last day of work until next Wednesday (hooray!)
- In spite of this horrible economy, we are still getting a bonus (double hooray!)

OMG, is anyone else watching American Idol? I feel like a total patsy, but that last singer with his brain-damaged fiance just made me bawl. Seeing the judges be all human, too... *sniffle* Ugh. This show.

Everything else I am hearing about is bad - violent protests in Egypt, the 11 police officers shot in a 24-hour period, Social Security trust funds drying up way before I will ever retire, yadda yadda yadda. I am counteracting all these bad vibes by listening to Cat Steven's Peace Train on an endless loop. Pointless, perhaps, but it makes me feel better. It also reminds me of the Dreaded Ex, who loved this song, but the memory my brain keeps conjuring up is the two of us driving between Dallas and San Antonio and singing and clapping to this song like little kids. So, you know...it's all good. I wonder what that lunatic is up to these days? He's probably out there stumping for Sarah Palin or something. *puke*

Chubby-tired?

Not watching Idol...yet. I might start when Hollywood Week happens, but before that I don't think I can deal with all the really BAD auditions, that almost drown out the sprinkling of good ones.

:) It's a line from the cartoon Adventure Time, which is odd and funny and uses phrases like "chubby tired." I thought it fit me rather well, LOL!

I know...I haaaaate bad auditions and generally fast-forward through them. I am surprised at how much I am not hating the judges, though!
