At the Davis Mountain State Park in west Texas...

Number of planets seen: 1 (Saturn)

Number of lightning storms witnessed at the top of the mountain: 2 (2 too many IMO)

Number of shooting stars wished upon: 3

Number of visible stars: billions and billions (as Carl Sagan would say)

Having a blast, except for nearly getting washed off the road on the way up. It has rained twice today. In the desert.

Oh, well. We are still having fun! More later...
