Well, I bought Nay-nay her birthday gift. Unfortunately for me, the store I purchased it at was right near the Tommy Hilfiger outlet. I love their jeans. They fit like a dream and me and my squat frame can't say that about a lot of clothing. I caved and bought a pair of low rise bootcut jeans. Well, I do need them for work...
I have watched TTT DVD twice (both discs) and am in Heaven. Cannot wait for the extended version. I was squealing and clapping during most of the second disc, much to JP's amusement. I believe he had the temerity to call me a dork. Pot and kettle's all I'm sayin'...
I thought I'd do a little top ten list for all my favorite parts of each disc. The Two Towers one was especially difficult because I probably have twenty favorite scenes, but I managed to narrow it down. These are not in any specific order.
*Spoilerific for those who have not seen either the movie or the extras contained therein*
1. the infamous hand kiss and hug between Dom and Elijah. Aw! Sweet!
2. "Mmmm...bosom." I <3 Dom!
3. Dom ripping the tape off Billy's chest. Ouch!
4. the whole bungy jumping/surfing/extreme sports segment.
5. Viggo's horse nuzzling him. *squee*
6. Sean scaring the bejeezus out of Dom and Elijah with a noisemaker. *snicker*
7. Various cast members dancing.
8. Orlando petting Viggo. Grrr. *jealousy*
9. Orlando rubbing Ian's tummy. Hee!
10.Miranda Otto defying any woman not to fall in love with Viggo in the movie. Indeed.
1. Theoden's soliliquy, "Where is the horse and the rider?" *chills*
2. Theoden's how-to-be-a-king-speech to Aragorn, "If this is to be their end, then I would have them make such an end as to be worthy of remembrance." Me and the Kid were growling, "YEAH!" when we first saw it in the theater.
3. "Don't you know your Sam?" Tears were running down my face when I saw that.
4. The wide pan shots of Edoras with Eowyn, her dress and hair blowing in the wind. So poetic.
5. Aragorn pushing the huge doors open at Helm's Deep. Ding dong!
6. Legolas and the whole "You're late" scene. Man, those two have amazing chemistry. Hey, I meant brother-in-arms chemistry...sort of.
7. Treebeard telling Merry and Pippin that the Ents have decided they were not Orcs. He looks so pleased with himself.
8. The scene between Elrond and Arwen where he is showing her the future. Arwen standing by the tomb in a billowing black veil while dead leaves swirl. *swoon*
9. Legolas and his one-handed horse mount.
10. Aragorn, as he tilts his sword and gives the order to charge at the Battle of Helm's Deep. *shivers*
And also, thank you one and all who posted this little meme. Made me cackle! I actually have been known to bellow and that really sounds like something i would say in a particularly geeky moment...
Thinking about the Kid, as usual. I know a lot of people roll their eyes at me and my mom's super-overprotective-wah!-we-miss-him-daily-laments, but what can I say? He is probably the closest thing to a kid that I ever had or will have. If I feel like this, then Mom gets major props for being so strong. And for the record, my family was the same way about me when I moved away. It's not just the Kid. The two of us are definitely "the babies" mainly because Paul and Davy-boy are 9 and 7 years older than me, respectively and 16 and 14 years older than the Kid.
Okay. Babbling again. TTFN!
