Okay, so I'm the last fan on the internet who hasn't seen the RotK trailer, but I wanted to wait until I could watch it on the big screen. Well, JP wanted to see 'Seconhand Lions' and I wanted the trailer in its full multiplex glory, so we both won. SL is a great movie, BTW. A little heavy-handed and schmaltzy, but a grand story told in a sweet, old-fashioned way. Yes, I cried through most of it. Sue me! ^_~
At first, it didn't seem that impressive. I had already seen a bunch of stills from these scenes so I was, "Eh." But here comes Shelob. "Oh, fuck!" Then, the Aragorn voiceover starts. Eomer is holding someone on the battlefield. *sniffle* Eowyn tells Merry, "Whatever happens, stay with me." Uh-oh. Here come the tears. By the time Elrond is telling Arwen that he can no longer protect her, I'm bawling. Pathetic? Yes. But it feels SO good. *snicker* This movie is sooo gonna rock. And when it's over, I am going to feel flat and depressed. ;_;
And in other news, I bought a $3 belt at Target. Go, thrifty shopper! I am also going to attempt to make salsa tonight. Let's see if I actually have any Mexican genes floating around in me so people will stop calling me a coconut! ^_~
