Just finished editing the Hell out of my assignment for class and watching Lost in Translation again.

Now, I'm listening to Julee Cruise's 'The World Spins' and thinking deep thoughts. ^_~

Something about LiT makes me terribly sad, even though the movie itself is not depressing. Perhaps the subtleties just tie me into emotional knots. And this music (from 'Twin Peaks') has me feeling eerie and full of longing. For what, who knows?

In normal-not-la-la-land news, I bought actual food today and cooked it. And I'm going to do it again tomorrow! Yes, I'm on a kitchen-puttering binge. We'll see how long it lasts. I boiled chicken to make broth and chicken salad. I also prepared and individually wrapped some pork cutlets for a pork/bok choy experiment I am whipping up tomorrow. Wish me luck!

I walked into a DSW today and nearly swooned at the lovely smell of leather and new shoes. I didn't buy anything because I have already bought way too many pairs nerves of steel.

And on that fascinating note, I leave you...

Wow! Look at you! Cooking--AND withstanding the tempting allure of new shoes. You have that whole woman-in-control thing that I really need to develop.

*is impressed*

LOL! I'm glad I give that impression (pork/bok choy turned out most yummy).
