Okay. Let me explain. No, there is too much. Let me sum up:

1. AI concert was surprisingly good. Like, I love Blake and I think he has a nice voice, but I'm not deluded about him being a powerhouse or anything. But. Holy. Hell. Kid sounds AWESOME live. He did his little looping thing on his She Will Be Loved/WIth or Without You medley. I all but passed out. That clean, strong voice throughout the arena? Hells yeah!

Oh, yeah - everyone else was pretty good, with the exception of a couple. Poor Sanjaya can't really sing, but he looked like he was having fun. Phil worked the crowd pretty well and Gina sounded great on the Pink song Never Knew. Jordan has killer pipes, but no kind of charisma/patter in between songs. She's young, so I'll forgive her. Blake jumped off the stage and interacted with fans and got the biggest cheers. Melinda was fantastic and Chris Rich shocked me by sounding really good live. Huh.

Chris Sligh has a great voice, but when he said, "How you doing, Houston," he pretty much lost the crowd. *snorfle* I found out via the TWOP boards that a Melinda/Blake Fugee-inspired version of Killing Me Softly was cut from the concert set, so I am still mad about that. But everything else was lovely. They didn't come close to selling out the AT&T arena, so when we arrived, they bumped us from nosebleed to plaza level. I didn't even need the binoculars. Woo!

Yeah, so much for a sum up.

2. JP's mom visited us last weekend and she finally got to meet my family. Everyone got along well, so that was nice. JP and I spent the entire day before her visit just cleaning the house. You can't really tell anymore though. : P

3. So, Vegas. Yeah. The highlights: I saw my friends (finally) get married; I won $138 on the nickel slots with my first pull (and promptly cashed out); we got half-priced tickets to see The Producers and it was funny and brought back some wonderful memories of our movie nights in the Philippines; I went to the top of the Eiffel Tower replica at Paris and was partially paralyzed with fear because I am a weenie; I got a bit drunk in the early afternoon after ordering a Tequila Icee masquerading as a "strawberry margarita" (for reals, when you cannot taste the strawberry flavoring because the tequila is drowning it out, best prepare yourself); and we tried one of the nicer massive buffets (at Paris). Yummeh!

Crappy cell phone pictures here. JP has the good ones on his camera; I will try to post them later. Right now, I want to take a nice long nap. Vegas is nice if you have money and it's not summer and walking is your favorite pastime (right after partying 'till dawn). Otherwise, two days was plenty for me.

I am the great and powerful Oz!

Damn, when I will have time to buy and read the last Harry Potter, I don't know. Gah!

Feel slightly oogy. It's a bad sign that June has barely begun and I am already jumping into a cold shower and standing in front of the fan. The air around me is not that warm, but my body feels like it's on fire. Like I am literally burning up on the inside. Maybe I am. Temperature is normal, though. Perhaps I am merely crazy?

Saw The Valet today and it was tres sweet and funny. Lovely little movie. Also saw Knocked Up yesterday. I expected it to be formulaic and tired, but it really surprised me. With the exception of the ENTIRELY TOO GRAPHIC AND REALISTIC birth scene, the rest was both hilarious and touching. Loved the bit with Ryan Seacrest. *harts*

Also bought plane tickets to Vegas today. Huzzah! Am waiting to book the hotel. Why? Well that's a secret that I will share at a later date. Maybe tomorrow. ^_____^;

I think I may upchuck. *nods*

Was everyone at A-Kon or what? ^____^

I have had some wicked mood swings this weekend, giggly and happy one minute, so depressed that I am unable to speak the next. So worried about everything until this rogue emotion, Optimism, kicks in and saves me. I feel so funky.

I went ahead and bought some goodies from Deep DIscount DVD, including Casino Royale which I have wanted forever but refused to pay the $18 they normally charge for it. Also picked up Here is Greenwood and a couple of Mobil Masterpiece Theater guilty pleasures: Edith Wharton's The Buccaneers and Louisa May Alcott's The Inheritance. Cheesy, 19th century hunt-for-rich-husbands goodness for everybody! Oh yeah, and I bought some more HYD manga. I are weak.

Speaking of HYD, I just finished watching episodes 17-20 and *squeeeeee* God, I love teenage soap operas.

I need to get off my ass and buy our Vegas tickets before I can't afford them anymore...
