I had a lovely birthday, thanks in no small part to my friends and family who were determined to show me that, in spite of my many foibles and silliness, they love me anyway.
So, thanks

- to the young men playing Christmas music on their sax and trombone, for making me want to walk around the shopping center instead of running in and out of the one store I needed to go to.
- to Nay-nay, who snuck out of work to call me and wish me a happy birthday while reminding me about our spa trip at the end of the week.
- to the girls, who all called or emailed birthday wishes, insisting we go out and celebrate soon.
- to JP, for letting me pick out what I wanted to do today: dinner at Shogun and a movie, Chronicles of Narnia (excellent, BTW - I highly recommend it).
- to my family, who all called and sang me many renditions of "Happy Birthday" and also for taking me to dinner last night. All the prezzies rocked, too.
- to everyone else who wished me many happy returns: I am not worthy of so much love and attention.
G'night, all. *mwah*

*belated birthday hugs!*
I'm glad it was a good day for you. ^^
(I thought The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe rocked, too.)

Date: 2005-12-21 03:07 am (UTC)From:No worries...I had a great day. Of course, in the frame of mind I was in, you could all but stick bamboo splinters under my nails and it wouldn't have ruffled me. I was in too good a mood. ^_~
Wasn't the movie awesome? Much better than the traumatic cartoon I saw back in the day...
Who's that?

XD Was that included in your tour package of the Maya ruins?
"Experience authentic Aztec sacrifice rituals..."

Yay! I love days like that! =D

It was! I was so impressed with the CG! Though the dead lion puppet made me cry so much.

Whoa, cartoon? I can't remember if I saw that...I probably did but have blocked it out. XD

The CG rocked! Yes, I cried through that whole sacrifice sequence.
;_;

Yeah, back in the late 70s or early 80s. And I don't blame you...I have been trying to block it out for years. I just remember the whole
JesusAslan scene being very traumatic.no subject

Date: 2005-12-21 04:01 pm (UTC)From:And now, am replaying that awful torture scene from the first season of "Lost" -- where Sayid actually does that to Sawyer. Eep.
But, the point is! Lurvely post, sweetie, and further proof that people *do* journal when they're happy, not just angsty. :-) A friend and I have this argument all the time, and hurrah! I have even more to back up my claim now!
"Narnia"! Liam Neeson's voice! *lurves*
And, end scatter-brained rant.

^_____^ I do post plenty of angst, but I love writing when I'm in a good mood. When I go back and re-read my entries, I can remember that I was happy.
Narnia!!! I think I might go see it again. Just cause.
