Work is so ridiculously busy right now, but everyone assures me that once all the projects close in November, we can take it easy for the remainder of the year.

Woohoo, David Cook tour! He's making three stops in Texas, so I can definitely swing one, maybe two of those (assuming I can get tickets).

I was invited to take part in the Morrissey pre-sale, but I missed the email somehow and thus when I tried to buy tickets a few hours after they went on sale to the public, THEY WERE SOLD OUT.

I will never understand ticket sales and hope all ticket brokers DIAF.

Okay, that's it for me, I think. So cranky because I spent the whole day in meetings. That always makes me frowny-face.

The Morrissey concert was AWESOME!!! Hearing Everyday is Like Sunday live? I can die happy now. Hee, does he always rip his shirt off in the middle of a performance or was it just because the humidity was like 110% outside? While I find his kick-ass vocals and heart-wrenching lyrics to be dead smexy, I didn't need to see him semi-nekkid. Although he looks great for a 48-year-old man. ^_________^

And speaking of heart-wrenching, one of the things the Dreaded Ex and I shared was a great love of Moz, so of course last night when I finally stumbled off to bed, I had a long meandering dream about him, his fiancée (never saw her, I don't know if he is actually engaged or married or what IRL), and her "family." What the Hell. It was painful and funny and filled with an array of boozy, drug-addled characters that apparently live in my imagination. The hardest thing was to just sit and watch as he begged my forgiveness and got me to come back to him, only to promptly betray me once again. I was so pissed at myself. I also had a baby in this dream, but it wasn't his. The fiancée's family thought it was his and were doing everything in their power to take my baby. Scary and also WTF. Eh?!

Okay, off to actually do things. Maybe.

I am still going to bed at 6 p.m. Where does the excuse of jet lag end and my plain laziness begin? Indeed.

Have been working, working, working.

Today I saw PotC: At World's End. And I don't care what all the haters say, I LOVED IT!!! Great finish, open-ended and bitterly sweet. Yay for bloated and convoluted plots and pretty eye candy! I must say Keira was looking divine - is that what Mystic tan looks like? Lovely. Orlando Bloom + scar = Hottie McHotpants. Also, macho!Orli manhandles Keira in the middle of a fight. Yum!

Want to see it again, immediately. Just for the record, though? I am completely predisposed to love anything which allows Johnny Depp and Geoffrey Rush to do their respective things. If it had been anyone other than Johnny, Geoffrey would have stolen the whole thing right out from under them. *harts them both*

In other news, Morrissey tomorrow night!!!! I get to drive to Austin right after work! In the rain! Yay! And enjoy the outdoor venue! In the rain! Oh, well. I'm not made of sugar - I won't melt. If he cancels again, though, he is dead to me.

Morrissey!!!

In other music news, has Adam Levine of Maroon 5 always been scorching hot or is it just me suddenly noticing because they put him in a suit and paraded him around on TV a lot?

And I also don't understand why I have never purchased any Dashboard Confessional until now. I have not been meeting my musical emo quotient!

Finally, even though he didn't win, Blake's duet with Doug E. Fresh was sick! Did I just date myself with that comment? Huzzah for my Blakie!

Will start resizing and uploading Japan pictures this weekend. Yay!

Am I wrong for thinking this is hilarious? Chocolate Jesus: My Sweet Lord. Are they for real? Is this a participatory art performance? 'Cause: yum!

Things that are yay!

1. Jon Heder speaking Japanese and Will Ferrell, well, being Will Ferrell in Blades of Glory.
2. Blake Lewis saying that he would love to share the stage and scat with Ella Fitzgerald. Warning: if he actually sings an Ella song on big band night, I will die with happiness. Please send flowers.
3. I bought my Morrissey ticket.

I am continuing to enjoy my extended weekend. Don't make me go back...

Morrissey in Austin! Supposedly! If he doesn't show again, I am going to pitch a fit. And possibly stalk him. The concert is a few days after I get back from Japan AND on a day I am slated to work. My life is hard!

Speaking of which: I spent three hours job hunting tonight. Yeah. Such a hard slap in the face to realize I make "good" money in this blue collar town.

Awww...
