BEAUTIFUL day for outdoor Fiesta event, Taste of New Orleans: Yay!
Exorbitant cost of entrance fees and beer and food: Boo!
Watching sister and company dance: Yay!
Getting free beer backstage 'cause we were hanging with the belly dancers: Double yay!
Horrible sunburn on arms and legs: Boo! And also, ow.

I must say, the mini French breads were DELICIOUS.

Okay, I have doused myself liberally with after-sun gel, popped a couple of Advil, and watched Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (preparing myself for Forbidden Kingdom tomorrow, hooray!). So now I think, bedtime.

The best thing in the world when your shoulders and back are sunburned? A strapless bra. And aloe vera, of course. Damn! I am not supposed to burn - I have lots of pigment! WTF, sun?
