You're so Vain, You Probably Think this LJ is About You

As a post-election celebration, JP took me to the movies tonight and we saw Appaloosa, with the delectable Viggo Mortensen, lean mean Ed Harris, and a very puffy Renee Zellweger. It was pretty damn good, which is saying something for me because in general I do not like westerns (something about blood and dust, which there always is a lot of, it seems). 

There is a great scene where Ed Harris is whaling on some guy and Viggo comes and puts his arms around him to pull him off and they just stay that way...for awhile. Like after Ed has calmed down and Viggo is just hanging on and I was all HOYAY!!! Actually a beautiful scene. 

So, if you like warrior bonds and good banter and are willing to drop some money to see a minute of homoerotic Viggo, then go see this movie. I also liked the very tight clothes they wore (woo!).  Viggo rocking some serious hat hair AND cowboy-hat tan line did not dampen my enthusiasm AT ALL.
